<span style="font-family: "calibri";">This Matchbox was a relatively easy custom to paint.
<span style="font-family: "calibri";">I sprayed the Tamiya Mica Blue lacquer (it comes in a spray can), and freehand brush painted the Testors enamel Gloss Black so masking was not an issue.

<span style="font-family: "calibri";">For the decals, I used a few off the sheet. Head and taillights, Supercharger scripts, and I cut the crossed flags from the Fuel Injection scripts. I also used a couple decals from the leftovers box for the license plates.

<span style="font-family: "calibri";">Once decorated, I clear coated it and that eliminated any brush strokes in the black.

<span style="font-family: "calibri";">I also swapped on new resin wheels as well as soft tires I mastered and cast.

A portion of each of the large tribal flames from the sheet was cut off and used on the sides. The surf board received a tribal tiger stripe decal too. Wheels were swapped from a 100% Hot Wheels.
This one is two toned with Warm Pearl White (Clear Pearl over White) and Pacific Blue, all Testors brand paints. Again the flames make masking between the colors non-critical. It also has headlights and taillights from the sheet.
